I’m sure everyone has or has heard of someone putting dry cigars into a fully charged humidor and the cigars busting.   This doesn’t have to be the case if the cigars are dry.   Getting the cigars to soak up the humidity at a slow rate would be best for the cigar.  To do this with a humidor you should place the cigars into a humidor that hasn’t been charge in a week and let them get accustomed to the humidity before charging the humidor.  If the cigars absorb the humidity too fast them they may crack or bust thru the wrapper.

The cigar should be supple when touched as lighting up a dry cigar will ruin the flavor intended by the cigar maker and ruin your experience of that cigar.   This is a quick tip of how to restore your cigar to store bought quality.
